About Coshhvo
Coshhvo is built and run by Ellul Solutions Ltd, a software company registered in England and Wales. It is a small product with one job, not a platform: the health and safety records a firm produces, and keeping them findable and current. The free worksheets and the paid plan are made by the same people, and the worksheets are not a trial of the paid plan.
Why this site exists
Because the writing is the part people plan for and the keeping is the part that fails. A firm gets its assessments written, often well, and then a process changes, a substance is swapped, a person leaves, and eighteen months later nobody can say which version is current or when it was last looked at. The document exists and the file does not. Coshhvo exists so every assessment, sheet, permit and incident has an author, a date and a review date on it, and so a firm can see what carrying that file actually costs before it decides how much of it one person can hold.
Who it is for
It is for the person responsible for health and safety in a small firm or on a site, in the United Kingdom first and the United States second: the safety manager or adviser in a firm too small to have a department, the SHEQ or compliance person at a contractor, the site or office manager who has had health and safety added to their job, and the owner of a business with a handful of employees who has been told they need risk assessments.
It is not for the worker looking up what an acronym stands for, the person choosing a NEBOSH or IOSH course, the fire-protection contractor servicing extinguishers and emergency lights, the vehicle or fleet inspector, the home or property inspector, the food-safety officer, or the environmental consultant. Each of those is a different job and other software is written for it.
What it does not do
- It publishes no regulation text and gives no legal advice. What your firm must do is decided by the regulations that apply to it and by a competent person who knows it; where this site names a duty it cites the public document it read it in and nothing more.
- It does not decide whether your controls are adequate. That is a judgement about a workplace, made by someone who has seen it, and no worksheet can make it.
- It sells no training and no qualifications, and it ranks no consultant or vendor. There is no listing here anyone paid to appear in.
- It never puts the free worksheet's answer behind a login, and it never emails a client of yours without their own consent.

What Coshhvo Pro keeps
The worksheet tells you what the programme costs. It cannot tell you, in March, which assessment was due in November and never reviewed. Pro keeps the records themselves.
